Recruitment Training and Learning!
Like most recruitment companies BSM advertises in a variety of media to recruit personnel. All our personnel are interviewed and reference checked under strict guidelines before being sent to a client. What differentiates BSM is that a majority of our personnel come through word of mouth through our knowledge of the industry and the people within it. This allows extremely accurate references to be obtained. Most of our clientele use BSM ahead of our competitors for this very reason. BSM is not a “revolving door” for high turnover workers.
BSM’s fully operational workshop allows for testing in the metal trades for workers who are new to our organization or for those wanting to expand their skills. Custom testing is available for all our tradesman; this may involve practical tests (e.g. Welding procedures) or theoretical assessments. In addition to this, BSM frequently puts workers through various TAFE and/or Workcover accredited courses in order to expand their skills and knowledge. These include Green Card and forklift courses amongst others. BSM willingly endeavours to cater for specific needs of our clients upon request.
Internally, BSM educates all workers on safe work practices through our OH&S policy. This information reinforces current knowledge employees possess through their area of expertise and generic information they may come across out on site. Site inductions and orientations carried out by BSM representatives further this understanding.
Over a period of time our workers have benefited from BSM’s diversity of clientele. This has allowed BSM to develop a multiskilled, flexible and knowledgeable workforce. Capable of undertaking most assignments.
BSM do not send workers who cannot do the job or may risk the safety of others.
Permanent Placements
We understand the desire for our clients to transfer exceptional workers to permanent positions. BSM’s policy is not to stand in the way of our workers successfully obtaining stable and prosperous positions which are in their best interests. A tradesman however requires a minimum of six months work with BSM at the clients' premises prior to accepting permanency. All other workers have a minimum of a three month period. With this there will be no fee upon permanent placement. If a permanent placement is requested prior to the six or three month period, BSM will negotiate a competitive fee, or may wave the fee completely.
